HEALING
POULTICE
Slippery
Elm Bark, Plantain, Goldenseal Rt., Comfrey Rt, Cayenne
Powder
Slippery elm can often cause tissue to regrow and close over. It is a master tissue regenerator herb that should be used in all incurable illnesses.External Dosage: Slippery Elm inner bard powder is the best kept herbal secret for making an herbal poultice (applying herbs to the surface of the body). Make 1/3 of your poultice mixture slippery Elm inner bark, then blend all the herbs by hand or in a blender. Add enough hot water to make a gummy gluey consistency and apply to the body. Besides being a glue, Slippery Elm will draw out poisons, sooth the skin , and reduce inflammation. Slippery Elm inner bark works so well that once it drys, it will take a lot of effort to remove it.
You can use extra Cayenne as needed to stop bleeding in either Powder or Extract form.
You can also mix the dry herbs with Aloe Jel for additional healing strength. Use a mix of water and aloe to make a good gummy gluey consistency then apply to the body.
If you are covering a deep wound or cur, expect this poultice to stay for a few days, 3 or 4 is okay. Adding a layer or two of cotton gauze over the poultice and pressing it in will make a cast even an orthopedic surgeon will admire.
Therapeutic Action:
Here are the instructions for the Healing Poultice as found in Dr. Richard Schultze's book, "There Are No Incurable Diseases" at the top of page 81:"This poultice can be sprinkled directly into a wet or bloody wound in order to regrow new tissue, or it can be mixed with warm water and applied to the area. For a healing poultice, you will notice that after some time, some of the poultice will look like it disappeared. This is good. This means your body has assimilated the herbs to make new tissue. Remember, don't rinse the herbs out of the wound, just keep adding more on top of what's already there. Generally, once a poultice has dried on a wound, I consider it a part of the body. Just like a scab, it will come off in its own time."
From practical experience, given the large wounds that some of our members with breast cancer have we have found it is better to sprinkle it in dry than to mix with warm water. The dry powder adheres to the wound better. Continue to add more powder when necessary. Another thing that we noticed is that the wound will start becoming more bloody, which is quite logical. You see prior to adding the poultice the wound is virtually blood free all you can see is the fat tissue of the breast. When the healing poultice is added to the wound blood starts to flow into it so it can start rebuilding new tissue.
